About Sunshine Coast Nature Prints
I'm David Pearce, a zoologist and botanist living on the Sunshine Coast. I create naturalist-style prints of local ecosystems, combining classic natural history plate traditions with contemporary digital tools to produce scientifically grounded, highly detailed artworks.
My aim is to support growth in understanding and appreciation of the natural environment.
As part of that commitment, 20% of poster sales are donated to local environmental initiatives. Donations will be published monthly here for transparency, beginning July 30, 2026.
Sunshine Coast Nature Prints supports local conservation projects through partnerships with Coolum Coastcare and WILVOS. Proceeds from Reef Life of the Sunshine Coast help fund marine and turtle conservation, while proceeds from Birds of the Maroochy River support local bird rescue and rehabilitation.
Birds of the Maroochy River
A naturalist-style bird poster featuring 91 native bird species found along the Maroochy River, combining 19th-century lithographic plates with digitally crafted additions.
Reef Life of the Sunshine Coast
A naturalist-style marine life poster featuring 112 vertebrate and invertebrate reef species found along the Sunshine Coast. All species in this illustration are newly crafted digital artworks.
